More than 300 people attended the community meeting hosted by CRRC and Alderwoman Susan Sadlowski Garza on Monday, December 11th in Chicago’s 10th ward at UAW Local 551’s union hall.
It’s clear by the attendance at the community meeting there is significant interest regarding the new CRRC railcar assembly facility and the future manufacturing jobs. The purpose of the meeting was to update community members on construction milestones, the hiring plan and answer questions.

Construction is on schedule and CRRC will be hiring for manufacturing positions when the facility is open for production. In the meantime we will share information via the newsletter and on the Next Stop Chicago website.

Included below are the resources mentioned at the meeting:
  1. Check out the Next Stop Chicago website for positions in administration and technology and quality. All open positions can be found on the website with job descriptions and how to apply.
  2. Contact Calumet Area Industrial Commission (CAIC). Visit their website or call 773-928-6000. CAIC has opportunities for individuals interested in careers in manufacturing.

If you have additional questions, please email info@nextstopchicago.com. You can also direct friends or family members to sign up for the newsletter by filling out the form here.

CRRC is committed to the community and looks forward to keeping the community updated on this exciting project.
