Students and chaperones from Dundee-Crown High School recently visited CRRC to tour the facility and learn about railcar production. The students had a particular interest in the electrical work as they are enrolled in “electrical 3” level classes at Dundee-Crown.

Production Manager Javinn Brown led a hands on tour highlighting the importance of teamwork. Javinn explained how CRRC brought railcar manufacturing jobs back to Chicago’s southeast side, which was historically home to numerous railcar factories, including the U.S. Rolling Stock Company and the Pullman Company.

Throughout the tour, members of the production team explained their unique roles at CRRC, demonstrating how each individual job plays an integral step in the manufacturing process for the 7000 Series railcars.
