CRRC Sifang America Breaks Ground on Chicago’s First Rail Car Assembly Plant in 35 Years

Today, Chinese-owned CRRC Sifang America broke ground on a $100 million, state-of- the-art railcar assembly plant in Chicago’s southeast side. CRRC Sifang America is a subsidiary of the world’s largest railroad car and locomotive manufacturer and its new Chicago facility will be its primary production hub in North America.
