CHICAGO – CRRC Sifang America (CRRC) is proud to announce Production Department promotions. CRRC has promoted two production workers who are building the 7000 Series passenger railcars for the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). Marques Harris of Chicago was promoted to Exterior Team Foreman and Maria Ramirez of Chicago was promoted to Electrical Team Foreman.
“CRRC values its employees and the talent and dedication they bring to work every day and CRRC will continue to recognize individuals for their contributions,” said Marina Popovic, Human Resources Director and Chief Legal Counsel for CRRC. “CRRC looks forward to Marques and Maria leading their production teams as CRRC transitions to full production of the CTA passenger railcars in 2020.”
Harris and Ramirez are among a group of skilled workers projected to train future production employees CRRC will hire for the full production phase of the CTA Project.
CRRC currently has more than 80 employees working at its new manufacturing facility on the southeast side of Chicago. CRRC plans to hire approximately 90 more employees in 2020 when the CTA 7000 Series passenger railcars are in mass production.
